Baby equipment includes travel cot, highchair and pressure stair gates. Symonds Yat sits 1 mile away offering canoeing and paddle boarding. Note that steps run throughout this three-storey property.
For Couples
White Roses suits couples joining larger family groups rather than romantic breaks for two. The property sleeps 15 across five bedrooms making it better for group bookings. White Roses Reviews

William
Lovely accommodation, suited our group down to the ground. We will consider it again for future meet ups.
Patricia
Property well equipped and comfortable. Only problem we found was with the showers. The water pressure was very low and guests were unable to have a proper shower.
Overall we had a lovely time and would consider staying again if a few things were improved on. Positives Lovely spacious cottage, especially for those with larger families and kids. Spectacular garden with apple tree and garden furniture, bedroom views were gorgeous hill views. Lovely kitchen with large dining table, ample space, plus large refrigerators and plenty of crockerycooking utensils. Comfy couches and great smart TV. Lots of storage spaces everywhere. Decent sized parking Ironing, washing, hair dryer facilities were great Good location plenty to do! Most concerning negative incident On the first day we arrived, one of our young children 3 years old found a green capsule under the bed the bedroom with only 1 double bed first floor, and tried to eat it. Thankfully his mother spotted this and stopped him. On the second night, he found a small white tablet in the same bedroom. Again his mother had to take it away from him. Neither of these were from anyone in our party. Its extremely concerning and could have been potentially lethal if hed ingested them as we have no idea what they were for. We were under the impression that the house had been thoroughly cleaned before we arrived but it wasnt. Other Negatives Property needed a serious deep clean as mentioned above. Mop had clusters of dog hair attached, and dog hair pretty much everywhere on the carpet and sofas. There was an unpleasant dog odour. Lots of spider webs in ceiling corners of the rooms. Shower in ensuite first floor bedroom was very poor, water turned off and was either scolding or freezing with terrible water pressure. Main bathroom shower rail is broken. We hated the electric stovetop. Way too slow and cant make certain dishes with it. Bedding felt itchy, better quality bedsheets and comfier mattresses for single beds wouldve been great. Extra nice to have Extra toilet roll wouldve been helpful TVs in bedrooms wouldve been nice
Yvonne
Lovely host and quick to help and advise. Accessible location. Spacious accommodation with a fab sized kitchen diner. Great games room and lovely cosy living room. Couple of cons Quite rough around the edges, especially with regards to walls and kitchen cupboards, counter tops etc Could do with a deep clean, especially things like the high chair and cupboards Unclear recycling instructions Electricity sockets overloaded in lounge Faulty hair dryer Stairs could do with a handrail
Alistair
Lovely property in a lovely area. Enjoyed our. For a large group of people it's perfect.
Really great weekend. Property was ideal for 4 families and it was a great walking area. Only shame was the weather
Francesca
We loved our stay at the White Roses! This is the second time we have been, and we plan to come again. We particularly love the garden the garden of Eden we like to call it! The white roses has everything you would want and need. Thank you
Lovely, very spacious property. Perfect for 15 ppl. The only let down is lack of pressure in the showers.
Alistair
White Roses was a delight to stay in. The location was fab, so much to do and also great eateries nearby. It is comfortable and warm, lovely for families and a big garden to play. The owners are very responsive to any problems. The only slight downside is the close proximity to A40, which can be a bit noisy. But otherwise super.
Amelia
Amazing house and host was so helpful and lovely with recommendations. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Family break for us. Very spacious property. No issues. Very happy. Had a great time. Would visit again. Situated in a very scenic area as well with lots to do for all we were aged from 1 85.
Andrew
We had a wonderful stay at white roses. In particular, we enjoyed the beautiful garden. The kitchen was nice and big and well equipped, and had a good dishwasher which is quite rare. Mariane is a lovely host. We would stay here again for sure. The only suggestion is to please not be so stingy with the toilet paper. Thank you
The property was pleasant and in a wonderful location. The outside area could have done with a bit more care. Garden large and would have been more useful if the grass was less than a foot tall. The oven on the left never reached the right temperature so cooking a roast for 14 people was a bit of a gamble. Had to keek swapping food from one oven to the other. Luckily it all turned out fine with careful monitoring. There was a hole in the wall in one of the bedrooms where the curtain pole should have attached so we couldnt draw the curtain. Review sounds terrible but with these problems fixed I would certainly recommend it. The bread was delicious. Thank you.
Anne-marie
We had such a wonderful time at White Roses, we were 10 in total, 2 families, all adults. There was plenty of space. The kitchen is large and seated us comfortably and is very well stocked with crockery, pans and utensils. 10 of us could sit in the sitting room for games and the additional conservatory sitting room provided breakaway space. There are fabulous walks and a well stocked shop across the road. Its really quiet despite being so close to A40. It suited the needs of our group perfectly and would definitely come back.
Rebecca
A group of 10 of us stayed here and absolutely loved the place. Rooms were clean and spacious and the welcome hamper of local produce was a really lovely touch! Checkin and checkout out was really straightforward with the owner and she was really quick to respond to any questions in the run up to our arrival. The house is pretty much straight off the dual carriageway but we werent disturbed by traffic noise really, and the shop round the corner was really wellstocked with everything you could need during your stay. It was only a 20 minute walk to Symonds Yat and felt very central for walks, pubs, attractions and activities. Would definitely stay here again
Lovely stay in a lovely property. Clean throughout and plenty of space to relax either with or away from the rest of your party. Location is ideal for RossonWye and Monmouth, both lovely towns. We also visited the campsite, open to all, where the children enjoyed an afternoon at the amusement arcade. A lovely few days enjoyed by all young and old and a four legged friend.
Rosemary
Half term breaks are short and special. White Roses gave us the wonderful space, comfort and of course location to enjoy a splendid few days. Little village shop round the corner also enabled us to pick up the few items we forgot! Oh and our doggie loved it too!
Booked for work colleagues, the house is clean, comfortable and very well equipped.
