We started with one aim: give visitors a genuine choice of quality self-catering properties in Hereford and the surrounding area. Hereford Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi are in the city centre. Ross-on-Wye is 14 miles south. Hay-on-Wye is 19 miles to the west. The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park are within 30 miles. You have a lot to work with from a base here.

The Wye Valley, Offa's Dyke and the Herefordshire Trail give walkers hundreds of miles of routes. Cyclists have challenging terrain in Mortimer Forest and around the Black Mountains. The food and drink — Hereford beef, Herefordshire cider, local produce from farm shops — is worth travelling for in its own right.
