Freds Shed Reviews

We had a lovely time at Fred's shed, it was so clean comfy and everything you need, the pictures don't do it justice the attention to detail is amazing. Paul and Sarah where so welcoming, we felt so at home. Only downside was we had to come home. Will definitely return
Richard
What a great place! Tastefully and carefully decorated, so comfortable and with such welcoming hosts. Lovely quiet location, plenty to see and do in the area. We had an excellent week there and will be returning.
Claire
We have just returned from our second stay at Freds. It is the perfect place to stay. Spotlessly clean, beautifully set out, great paddock for our dog, lovely walks, easy drive into Hereford. Sarah and Paul are so welcoming, they are the perfect hosts. Thank you for the fizz, homemade bread and fresh beans. We will definitely be back.
Alistair
We stayed for the Three Choirs Festival and could not have been happier. Lovely welcome and although Fred was missing his Shed was great.
Excellent hosts and a wonderful place to stay, location was ideal for exploring the Herefordshire and the Wye Valley. Freds Shed had everything we needed for our stay and was brilliant for our dog with small fully enclosed paddock next to the accommodation.
Claire
We had been looking forward to visiting Freds Shed, we fell in love with the story, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Super clean and comfortable with a great play area paddock which our dog loved. Lovely local walks and great places to visit. Fizz in the fridge and freshly, home baked bread delivered by the lovely Sarah. Sarah and Paul went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Dont think about it, book it, we will definitely be returning.
This is our second visit to Fred's Shed in nine months. We had a week in September, loved it so much that we booked again before we left, for two weeks. This time was even better, the owners were there to meet us, with a loaf of bread, and a bottle of prosecco, now to unwind and relax. You soon feel like you are at home, plenty of cupboard space for your clothes. The kitchen is well equipped, if you would like to cook. Also a selection of cookery books. A lovely cozy lounge area, were you can sit and watch the birds, along with listening to all the different calls. A television is there to entertain everyone. Outside an area to sit and enjoy the piece and quiet, a nice enclosed paddock, which our dog loved to go and do his morning roll. Fred's Shed is very near to plenty of places to visit, for fun, shopping, and culture, along with lots of lovely gardens, and woods for more fun. Also cafes and pubs to eat at. Farm shops with lots of local produce to enjoy. We cannot recommend Fred's Shed highly enough. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed
We had the best time at Fred's Shed. It was so peaceful and comfy. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, and the hosts were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our children and dog loved running around in the secure paddock, whilst we sat in the sunshine on the patio furniture. The area was so lovely to explore, footpaths and a pub within walking distance. Further afield we can recommend the Oak Inn at Staplow and Eastnor Castle. Symonds Yat with the hand pulled ferry was also a highlight. We will absolutely be back to Fred's Shed.
Warm welcome by Sarahyane and Paul. We felt very welcome. they showed us around at Freds Shed. Its a great place to stay. Peaceful surroundings. Excellent place to visit the several nearbye heritage sites. Also a list of restaurants and sites was availible.

We had a great stay in Fred's shed. It is a wonderful barn conversion renovated by the owners and was very tastefully designed. It was very cosy with underfloor heating throughout and with everything that you needed for a holiday home. The owners were very welcoming and the information folder had wonderful recommendations for places to eat and visit. We had a very relaxing week in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.
Fred's Shed is amazing. The details inside the property are very cleverly done,to keep it in character with the type of property. You have everything you need for your holiday, it's like being at home, and you do feel that. The property is spacious, but still hugs you.

Fred's Shed was utterly comfortable, is simply THE BUSINESS how can anyone NOT want to return! And the owners? They live on part of the site, baked us bread, understood our love of alcohol so left us a bottle of Prosecco and were just there to make sure we enjoyed every minute of our stay,
Lauren

What a wonderful place. Not only was the property spotless clean with every amenity, and in a wonderful, peaceful location, but we were welcomed with fresh bread and Prosecco! The best bit for me though was the big garden area for my dog. It's huge and she was able to spend lots of time outdoors in this safe, enclosed area, which she loved. I would thoroughly recommend Fred's Shed and will return because the property owners, Sarah and Paul, made us all feel so comfortable there.
Terence

Freds Shed is a perfectly spaced out holiday cottage in the beautiful countryside of Herefordshire just approximately six miles from Hereford. Paul and Sarah Jane were perfect hosts and beautifully designed Freds Shed to make a comfortable home from home with everything you need to make it a perfect holiday. There are two double bedrooms one at each end of the cottage with the bathroom and living space in between with an open plan kitchen and living room. Outside there is a lovely gravelled area to sit and enjoy a glass of you favourite beverage and theres a fenced grass space if you take your dog along. Paul and Sarah Jane left us a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and a loaf of freshly baked bread a perfect way to start our holiday.

Beautifully appointed and equipped and very comfortable with a large private paddock for our aging poodle. The owners could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Very dog friendly and our two dogs really enjoyed being there. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and all in all it is a lovely place to relax and unwind. Would definitely go back again in the future.
Fred's Shed was exactly as described. A haven of peaceful rest. Glorious countryside. Plenty of interesting places to visit many within a 10 mile radius of the property. We wish we had taken our bikes! The welcome from the owners was so friendly. The smell of fresh baked bread on the side with flowers from the garden on the table and then a bottle of fizz in the fridge. What more could anyone ask! We left feeling rested and refreshed exactly what we needed after a difficult year.
Glynis
We had a lovely week at Freds Shed. Paul and SarahJayne are incredibly welcoming hosts greeting you with bubbly and fresh bread. They have done a brilliant job converting an old shed into a well equipped and very comfortable home from home. We explored the lovely countryside around Hereford and hopefully we will return to do some more. We cannot praise this cottage enough, quirky with lovely features. David and Glynis and Molly the collie.
Freds Shed is a true delight. 2 lovely double bedrooms, v comfortable lounge, good TV and well equipped kitchen diner all on one level with underfloor heating. Bath with overhead shower etc. The owners live next door and very happy to show you around on arrival etc. we prebooked a 15 goodie box containing milk, eggs, wine, butter, jam and bread. On reflection it was a great idea as the nearest supermarkets are in Hereford about 5 miles away. A great place. Highly recommended
What an amazing place to holiday in. Paul and Sarah have done an amazing job in turning a derelict barn into a lovely cottage. Both are extremely helpful when needed Special thanks for helping with the loan of a dog stroller when our elderly Sheltie was struggling. The small field area adjacent to the barn is for your dogs sole use. Inside everything youll need is supplied .. along with Prosecco in the fridge and home made bread
We had a wonderful time at Fred's shed. It was a great base to explore the area. The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the hosts were very nice, Friendly and welcoming.
Booked this property for a 3 night break on the back of a stay in the Cotswolds. Freds Shed as it is called is a fabulous restoration of an old barn and ruin of a grade 1 property undertaken by the owners Paul and Sarah Jacobs over 2 years. You cannot fault the quality and location of the property located in a great rural setting 4 miles from Hereford. This is certainly a 5 venue and we would certainly recommend it you are friends who are looking for a short break. The owners Paul and Sarah greeted us on arrival and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Ken & Linda 19th 22nd August
