What a beautiful property in such lovely grounds. Very private. The barn is finished to such a high standard and has every facility you would need and more. We had our dog with us and the grounds are very secure. You can let them off the lead and know they can't get out. We really enjoyed our stay. We couldn't fault the property at all. The location of the property is about 5 10 minutes from Leominster and about 25 mins from both Hereford and Ludlow. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and we will certainly stay there again.

A fabulous property, very quiet and relaxing environment. Kitchen very well equipped and well maintained. All rooms spacious and enjoy natural light. The garden is safe and enclosed which was ideal for our dog. The location is superb with plenty of places to visit within a 30 minute drive.

We have just enjoyed our stay at Barn Cottage . Its very easy to find and is just a couple of minutes from a lovely little Pub Restaurant called The Lamb Inn which is very friendly and welcoming with dogs Great food as well The accommodation is well thought out and spacious and everything you need is within. The private garden is fenced off and if youre lucky you can relax in the sunshine on the Patio Furniture provided. We met the owners briefly and both are very nice . The cottage is really quiet and its only a minute off the main A roads to areas like Leominster, Ledbury , Ludlow ect . We would recommend Barn Cottage for a short stay.

We stayed at this cottage for the first time, and the cottage as well as the garden and surroundings were very rewarding and satisfying. We have seen so many bunnies, young squirrels and birds of prey that we really had the impression of staying in nature. Our stay at Barn Cottage was such a good tonic . We needed to get away to destress, Barn Cottage was just the place . Set in the countryside away from all the hustle and bustle . The garden is ideal to just sit and unwind and you just hear bird chorus constantly , its so idilic . The hosts Stephen and Jeanette are wonderful people . The cottage is well equipped , its like home from home . Small things like washing up liquid , cloths, tea towels , bin bags , toilet roll are all provided which I think is a nice touch . Would highly recommend staying at the cottage .

Barn Cottage was perfect for us, a real home from home. Great location, peaceful and in beautiful countryside. The accommodation was immaculate and well equipped and warm and cosy when we arrived. The location was perfect for us, we didn't have enough time to visit all the places we had wanted to, so hopefully we will get back again soon, maybe with a bit better weather too.

Well equipped and clean , themed lighting , electric blinds , big cushions etc. Owners were on holiday , but heating underfloor on, and key available, no problem. In a rural setting with nice views. Unfortunately broke my ankle when out and about , on owner's return Stephen was most helpful , and looked after us. The decor is fab, nice paintings etc . What you waiting for ? Barn Cottage was a lovely place to stay. The property is very well presented and well equipped. The secure enclosed garden was perfect for my dog. The location is very peaceful and secluded but with easy access out onto the main roads as a base for exploring the area. I've just booked a return stay.

A lovely place to stay. Very quiet and isolated but well placed for lots of attractions, walks etc. Superbly well equipped. Very spacious for the two of us. Spotlessly clean with great hot water supply. No walkable pubs or restaurants but plenty within ten mile radius.

Really relaxing short break. Spent almost all my time sitting in the garden just watching and listening to the wildlife, so serene and peaceful. Some nice walks across the fields. Cottage was lovely and spacious for 2 people, which you don't often find in a 2 person property.

This must be the quietest most peaceful place on earth. The property is a very high quality conversion with a beautiful bed and powerful shower. Ludlow park and ride is to be recommended as are the local National Trust houses. There were a couple of improvements which could be made. An umbrella for shade in the garden plates which can go in the microwave last but not least the television which is unwatchable. It is 6 feet off the ground and impossible to watch from the settee. We used a small ipad on a side table for the week.

Beautiful spacious cottage with amazing exposed mediaeval timbers upstairs skilfully blended with slick modern decor. Everything works as it should including good fast reliable internet and a couple of nice dog walks straight from the door. Nice big secure rear garden and patio area too.

Fabulous break in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. The Barn is so well equipped and so private too. The bedroom does get very hot, not enough ventilation. Saying that we were there in a heat wave!! Many lovely places to visit within a 30 minute drive, we need to return to see everything that we missed! Thanks to our hosts for a very enjoyable stay, five stars!

Very comfortable, spacious and relaxing cottage in a peaceful and green location.

The photos dont do justice to the charm and character of Barn Cottage. Everything is beautiful quality from the comfy beds to the towels. Birdsong and nature all around. A peaceful haven to unwind. We stayed 5 nights and used it as our base to explore the locality. Favourite days out were Ludlow, Prestigne, Leominster and Hay on Wye, so well situated for all. Had a lovely dinner out at The cider barn on the owners recommendation. Stephen & Jeanette are charming hosts with a beautiful property. We will be back. Many thanks.

Absolutely beautiful barn conversion in the middle of glorious Herefordshire countryside. Too many walks to choose from including those on the doorstep. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and attentive. The barn itself is furnished and equipped to the highest standard. We stayed with a baby and had everything we needed. We were particularly delighted with the black out velux blinds! The hosts have clearly designed the barn with a very keen eye to detail, even down to motion sensored nightlights! Warm, cosy cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. Many thanks again, really would recommend, we shall return!

We had a wonderful stay at Barn Cottage over the Christmas period. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us on arrival. The Barn was beautifully decorated and incredibly cosy. The location is also perfect for exploring Ludlow, Leominster and had lots of options for walks. The barn was also perfect for our dog who had access to the enclosed garden. We loved the cottage and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. The dcor and presentation is fantastic as was the bedding and towels and there was loads of hot water. The lighting is great as is the huge table. The accommodation is the opposite side of the farmyard to the other farm buildings and is well away from any main road so is really peaceful with views over surrounding fields. Theres plenty of local walking right from the front door and Leominster shops are only a 10 minute drive away with 3 good supermarkets and lots of individual local shops offering quality products. Our only real issues were the lack of drinking glassware and the heating in the downstairs area which steadfastly ignored the thermostat setting and was frequently over 22C despite our attempts to reduce it. The owner was as helpful as possible and is now on the case. We would definitely return despite this. Recommended.

'The Barn' property is a hidden gem. Beautiful peaceful and private setting. Very clean, rustic looking with own garden, private parking and enclosed field I used as a dog run. Well stocked house and friendly host who introduced himself soon after arrival, offered suggestions for local points I may have found of interest and made it clear if I had any issues to get in touch I had no issues at all. Five Star property, would highly recommend.

Everything about this property is stunning, a beautiful barn conversion completed to a very high standard, the upstairs with its exposed beams is absolutely amazing ! The owners have thought of everything very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, lovely dining table and relaxing seating area. You have your own peaceful garden area to enjoy. It is very quiet, tucked away down a little country lane but just 10 minutes from Leominster. We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious accommodation and will definitely come back.

Excellent stay, especially at that price point. Great cottage and owner, no complaints at all. However, the Sykes Cottages business model six or seven useless spam emails after booking, while actual aftersales support is intentionally unreachable and useless, leaves a lot to be desired. I never received an actual invoice email stating we have received your payment does not an invoice make. After asking for one to customer support email there is no other email to be found, I got a reply in 7 days that VAT Invoice is now requested for me and then nothing happened of course Signed with first name only, with no email sent from noreply, and no phone number but the usual allpurpose answering machine that runs you around endless circles. A system intentionally made to be difficult for a paying customer. The only other approach point is webpage chat, which is not available due to high demand 247. What's the point of having it then? Thank god for booking.com. It would do a world of good for Sykescottages to go there and learn how to run a booking business.

A great stay. The cottage is in a great location and is furnished and equipped to a high standard. Whether you want a quiet few days, or be able to reach out and hit the hills, this is a great base for either.

I was very pleased with the cottage, it was better than I imagined. The weather was perfect and that also helped to spend a lot of time outside on the enclosed garden however when we needed heating on we couldn't figure out how it worked even with the instructions. Internet connection was really poor, thankfully the work I had to do wasn't urgent so I could enjoy a complete holiday from the outside world. And the instructions for the rubbish wasn't very clear too so we ended up placing the bin bags outside, not knowing where the correct place would've been. Apart from that, I was really impressed with the place, how beautiful it was decorated giving it a feel of luxury and all the appliances available which made us feel at home. Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and down to earth. Surely a cottage I'd like to go back to in the near future.

Beautiful property with amazing facilities! !! Myself and my partner booked the property 24hr in advance. We received email instructions with all relevant details. When we arrived at the home we had a secure garden perfect for reactive dogs 13 flags, 13 stones and 13 grass. This are was also connected to an area of additional grass which was separated by a gate but we had full use of the fieldsecured. Off this field there was more fieldsbridlewayspublic foot paths etc The property inside was clean, tidy and had all the equipment stocked that you could need. The host had stocked the fridge with some provision. A large dog bed, large bowl and dog packs were provided. The bed was comfy with the comfiest pillows. At night there is a dim sensor light outside and inside the bathroom as a safety precautions with the bathroom being at the top of the stairs. The bedroom was all open plan, large space, lots of natural light. The host provided a guide with local walks, pubs, shops, things to do etc. Along with the manuals to all appliances. Shops are local to the property. The Kingshead pub is a nice walk along the bridleway. Or a 10 minute drive. The most amazing food and staff. The fisherman's Arms is a beautiful quiet fishing spot with walks for the pooches and a cafe. The host was very polite and attentive. I have recommended this to family and friends and would definitely book again.
