Pool Cottage Reviews

A lovely very well presented cottage. Great walks for our dog and close to Hereford for shopping. . Definitely worth a visit. Very comfortable and relaxing place to be. Would highly recommend a stay at Pool Cottage.
Pool cottage is clean, comfortable well equiped and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our stay there very much. One minor criticism was no freezer, only a small box in the fridge which was too small to hold the frozen food we had brought with us. Dog owner should be made aware the garden is not fully enclosed.

The cottage was absolutely amazing, we loved it! Everything seemed brand new, all very well thought out, down to the little details such as ornaments and warm lighting. It was a real home from home, it was clear a lot of thought had gone into everything. The sun even sat over the little patio set in the garden in the evenings so we could enjoy the last of the sunshine. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay for our bank holiday.
Lovely cottage a real credit to the owners, very clean and well maintained would happily book again.
Christine
As we walked into Pool cottage,I was greeted by a fresh fragrance and a very clean well kept cottage. The interior had been decorated to a high spec but retaining all the characters of the 18th century cottage. The kitchen was well supplied, the furniture comfortable, the bedroom were small but again very comfortable with good bedding and lastly the bathroom bright airy modern fixtures and good shower. We stayed one week,we felt very relaxed and happy there.
Gillian
What a gem of a cottage. We had such a wonderfully relaxing time here, as the house was pristine, comfortable, homely, and had everything we needed. We could have stayed far longer than the 4 days we had booked.
A superb renovation of a 17th century traditional cottage. A very comfortable retreat with good seating in all downstairs areas and comfortable beds with a quality bathroom upstairs. A well equipped kitchen makes for pleasant evenings in cooking if you choose.
Having stayed in over 20 cottages around England, Scotland and Wales, we would definitely put Pool Cottage in the one of the better ones category as it was bright, warm, comfortable, nicely decorated and just had a good feel to it. The only very minor downside was the curved driveway was a little tricky to navigate, but that might be more down to the driver's parking inability!
Immaculate cottage , lovely and cosy . Equipped with everything you need . We had a lovely stay very quiet and finished to a really high standard .owner very prompt in sorting out the TV for us . Would highly recommend .
Howard
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage which was comfy and clean. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if were visiting that area again. We also recommend dinner at Pilgrim Hotel, half an hours drive away but beautiful meals there. Thank you.
Beautiful cottage, immaculately clean with everything we could need. Great location to local gardens, Hay in Wye and an amazing farm shop.
We really enjoyed our stay at Pool Cottage and it was probably the cleanest and best maintained property we have ever visited. The facilities were excellent and it was great how well equipped the kitchen was, even down to providing a garlic press! The location was lovely with nice walks nearby and we'd definitely recommend the property to others.
Melanie
The house was excellent very cosy and very tastefully decorated. it had all that we needed. it was so lovely to find some flowers and biscuits on the table and milk in the fridge. Garden view very nice. I could quite easily have lived there and made it my home! I am taking the colour idea in the bathroom for mine that am updating and so too colour in kitchen for my bedroom! Certainly recommend to others to go. I also felt it was good value for money given the quality of the house furnishings etc,
Barbara
What a lovely holiday cottage this is , one of the best Sykes cottages we have stayed in . The decor and furnishings were of the very highest standard and the rooms were spotlessly clean . We immediately felt at home and had an enjoyable week relaxing in the cottage and exploring the Herefordshire countryside. In particular we enjoyed our visits to Ledbury and the beautiful village of Weobley .
We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. It was cozy and welcoming, and it had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed exploring the nearby walks. We highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
