Lovely spacious cottage with great outdoor area for us and dog. Such peaceful pretty countryside around. Cottage comfortable and relaxing. The host was very welcoming and helpful.
We had a great stay at Hill Farm Cottage. The views are wonderful and the place was just right. The owner is very friendly and our toddler loved playing in the garden and jumped in puddles ! We would love to come back.
Fantastic care and conversation from owner, we will certainly book again to stay in this idyllic location.
Hill Far Cottage was the perfect location for relaxation and quiet. The views from the house are just stunning. Completely secure for the dog who loved the outside area. We would love to come back soon!
Just returned from an amazing week away at Hill Farm. The cottage is much bigger than we thought, so roomy, which was handy having a Great Dane with us! Lots to do in the area but it was also good having the farmers field with permission to walk the dog in too. The owner was friendly and on hand if you needed him. We really enjoyed our week away here, we came back very relaxed.

We have stayed at Hill Farm numerous times and always had t never fails to disappoint! The views spectacular. The sheep quite entertaining , and the horses quite characters. All visitors to the farm so friendly too. Mr Mackie the owner always pops by to say hello when he can , a kind and thoughtful gentleman. Hill Farm has everything you could want , a home from home . Everything was as you would expect from this fabulous property! Our stay was two weeks this time and we have already booked for the next two years! More family memories made , thank you Mr Mackie .
We had a wonderful stay at hill farm cottage, it was beautiful, spacious and clean. Mr Mackie was very lovely and gave us lots of ideas for things to do. The children were able to meet the horses on the farm and we were able to use the field behind the cottage to exercise our Collie when it suited. We had an issue with water pressure when we arrived Mr Mackie was at the door within 10 minutes to help us out. My 7 year old cried when it was time to leave he loved it so much. We will 100 be back next summer. We needed a break from the crazy hustle and bustle or city life and thats exactly what we got. Its quiet, cozy and just perfect!
The property was filthy. The bed covers were dirty and stained, I had to hand wash the entire floor as my kids feet were black from running around barefoot, the crockery in the cupboards was dirty, under the beds and behind furniture clearly hadnt been cleaned in years judging by the amount of dust and cobwebs there. I spent my first evening there cleaning everything, had to go out the next day and buy hand soap as they had only left a small amount in the bathroom and buy towels that werent stained. There are no dishwasher tablets given to you and only a small amount of washing up liquid. Finally, the kitchen tap drips constantly. Dont stay here unless you come prepared to clean.
Fantastic location and a comfy, clean home from home. Mr Mackie was on hand and when we hit a small problem fridge not working properly, he was able to help us out. The only thing that would make it perfect would be if the outside had a bit of tender loving care, the external windows haven't been cleaned for a while and perhaps at least 1 pint of milk on arrival, so you can make a hot drink on arrival my husband works for Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire and they provide a welcome pack, which goes down really well with customers.
Very nice owner Ian beautiful setting peaceful an relaxing

Hi we loved the barn it was the first time we have been away and everything we needed was there we had a fabulous week. The view of the sheep and the rising sun are very memorable. We will be back in the summer.
Had a really nice time at Hill Farm. Everything was as expected. It was a perfect base for our break. Clean, tidy and warm in a lovely location and with all the facilities we required only one small negative couldn't get the dryer to work which wasnt a big issue at all. Worth noting that in the wet weather we had, some of the local lanes were prone to temporary flooding, so bring the Landrover if you have one!
Beautiful house has everything you need for your stay, the bookshelf with the books and games was a nice touch, couldn't figure the tumble dryer not sure if it didn't work or if it was us. Beautiful location very spacious just what we needed for a quiet retreat. And our dog loved it area as did we. We would definitely book this house again and have recommended this to friends too.
Raquel
It's a lovely, spacious and clean property, in a beautiful, quiet location. We would definitely stay again.
Lovely location in middle of countrysidesingle track roads on approach, very peaceful with fantastic views. Parking right outside for multiple cars. Bright and airy lounge and main bedroom, dark but well stocked kitchen. Photos were accurate. Bathroom a little dated. Pubs and fish and chip shop10 min drive away. The price paid was good value for money for school holidays, We had a lovely holiday
Maxine
Gorgeous home, clean comfortable and peaceful. Ian is a lovely farmer who stopped for a chat to ensure we had all we needed. Only suggestion I would have is for a set of plastic cups for children. Unfortunately one if our grandchildren dropped a glass. Ian was understanding and said not to worry accidents happen. Would highly recommend.

Lovely relaxing holiday the cottage is spacious and comfortable set in lovely countryside will be booking for next year
Extremely well fitted and comfortable. Ian is a lovely man and very helpful. Would benefit from internet access there is Skye internet, but it is password protected.
Had a wonderful holiday at Hill Farm Cottage. It has a large tiled hall with plenty of room for boots shoes and hooks for coats and dog leads which I dont think was in the photos. Very comfortable and well equipped place. Dog friendly and had an enclosed garden and patio but maybe teeny paws could squeeze out with garden furniture and a BBQ although we had taken our own and good weather allowed us to use it daily! Great to be able to do some washing and peg out on the line.Mr Mackie is a lovely gentleman and allowed us to let the dog run free in one of the gorgeous surrounding meadows. Great location for exploring with lots of dog friendly places around. We definitely recommend this place and would love to return .
This was our 4th spring stay at Hill Farm Cottage, and as ever it lives up to expectations.
Lovely clean house in a beautiful location! !! The owner was also very friendly!!
We had a lovely stay at Hill Farm. The property was clean, well presented and in an idyllic setting. Sadly the weather wasnt the best although it could have been worse and was sad to see the farm and surrounding area saturated after the excess rainfall we have all been experiencing. The cottage is set in a quiet area close to the main farm house. There was no sign of active farming activity so can only presume that the farm operations are somewhere else. We certainly werent disturbed at any point during our stay and would consider staying again, if we were in the area again
We had a wonderful stay at Hill Cottage, it was comfortable roomy and easy to manage everything. Super views and walks. Thanks Ian and team.
This was a return visit and again we appreciated the peacefulness of the surroundings, the views, location and the high standards of the property.
The property was perfect for our needs and in a great location. Plenty to do in the local area and the owner was very friendly and helpful. We have booked again for next year!
Trevor
Many thanks Ian for allowing us to share your cottage and beautiful surroundings. For us it is idyllic with absolute peace & quiet with nothing but the Hereford countryside in every direction with walks from the door step. This cottage & environment is perfect for recharging ones batteries while enjoying the English countryside.
Carolyn
We enjoyed a short stay over New Year at Hill Farm Cottage, and despite the awful weather we had a lovely time. A very spacious, warm and comfortable accommodation with everything you could possibly need, set against a beautiful background of spectacular countryside and views. The Christmas trees and lights were a lovely touch. Lots of walks nearby and easy access to the Brecon Beacons. Highly recommend, and our springer Archibald loved it too!
Hannah
Arrived on the Friday with my young daughter and our dog staying 7 nights meant to arrive fully decorated for Christmas and it wasnt. No fire starter for the fire just lumps of wood. Ended up going 3 days with NO hot water or heating, In this weather contacted the owner with NO response ended up leaving the property 4 days earlier as was not impressed with our stay asked for a refund and owner refused
Jennie

A splendid holiday cottage, spacious, comfortable, well furnished and equipped with all required facilities. Although situated on a working farm it was quiet and peaceful and ideally situated to explore the Golden Valley and surrounding areas, with lots of footpaths and superb walks from the cottage or within a short drive. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday.
