Tansy Cottage Reviews

Stephen
The cottage is one of the best ones we have stayed in. The lovely owners supplied everything you could possibly need including plenty of cleaning supplies. The cottage is so comfortable and even though the old part is noticeably colder ,it warms up quickly .We have no negatives about this wonderful property. Would definitely stay again.
Kate
Thank You, a warm welcome awaited us on arrival. We had a brilliant holiday and hope to return so we can enjoy more walks and attractions in the surrounding area. The cottage was like a home from home, we had all we needed to be able to cook meals and launder clothes. Cosy and warm delightful views in spacious rooms with adequate storage for all your holiday baggage. Bathroom with bidet and separate shower room, toilet upstairs and downstairs. Plenty of in house entertainment, cd collection, books, puzzles and games in addition to tv and radio. Our dogs were catered for with treats, bowls, towels and poo bags, in addition to garden access. Double bedrooms with comfy beds giving peaceful sleep. Abundance of information to guide you to the region. A short walk along the High St leads to a well stocked garage servicing all your needs. Friendly welcoming community, to both ourselves and our dogs.
Sue
The cottage was lovely, had all the amenities available, beds were really comfy. Would highly recommend.
Margaret
Cosy cottage in a great location. Comfortable beds and very well equipped. Great enclosed garden if you have a dog. Great walking area especially Mortimer Forest and worth visiting the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms. Small shop and two pubs in the village as well as a great chippy . A stay is thoroughly reccommended
Stuart
Tansy Cottage is a lovely holiday base, ideally situated to get out and about. It is really comfortable and feels like a home from home where it was easy to relax and enjoy your holiday
Graham
Fantastic cottage in a lovely village and picturesque surrounding countryside. Main road slightly noisy.
June
We stayed in Tansy Cottage for 7 days and thought it was the best cottage we have ever rented, to date. The cottage was well appointed, very clean and spacious with plenty of room for 2 adults and a large dog. We found the village of Leintwardine to be friendly and welcoming and used the local shop, fish and chip shop and the The Lion Pub.
Paul
Really enjoyed the cottage, everything you could want was there
Sara
Lovely village with great walks from the door. As previously mentioned the road is noisy but didnâ??t worry us in January with the windows shut! Quick note that there isnâ??t a woodburner, logs etc as this is now an electric version. There is a tiny freezer and no dishwasher for those this matters to. Comfortable seating and off road parking were welcome. The village has a well provisioned Spar and a butchers plus two pubs.
Joanna
Had a lovely stay at Tansy Cottage for 5 nights over Christmas. We arrived in the dark to a lovely warm cottage with xmas tree and decorations. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we would need. Very relaxing, quiet xmas for us as it was the first time ever away from home. Good walks (if rather muddy!) from the village and a lovely village local (The Sun Inn). Our 2 dogs loved it also. The village itself has a lot of history going back to Roman times. Thanks Cindy and Holly.
Kevin
Fantastic cottage, lovely location & absolutely everything provided. Full marks to Holly & Cindy for making our stay enjoyable.
Tracey
A very comfortable stay in a charming cottage. Perfect spot for exploring the area.
Karen
We stayed in Tansy Cottage for a week and could not have been more impressed. Everything you could want is in the cottage, the owners have thought of everything. It was very clean and comfortable and the private parking is great as you do not have to leave your car on the front. I just cannot praise it enough. Although the road was busy at times we did not notice it and you are in the right spot to be near Ludlow and Leominster. The pub, the Sun, just a walk down the road is welcoming and dog friendly. We will definitiely be back for another stay.
Rod
This is a lovely cottage. Very well provided for in terms of accommodation, with everything you need to self cater, right down to kitchen equipment. Spotlessly clean. Lovely village and surroundings. The front bedroom would be a bit noisy if you wanted the window open as it fronts the road - but there was a bit of agricultural traffic at the time of our visit due to harvesting time, so perhaps worse than normal. The small courtyard garden doesnâ??t get much sunlight - only need to bear in mind if you intend spending daytimes at the cottage, but I think most people will be out exploring. We would re-visit.
Julie
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Tansy cottage. Everything we needed was provided and the owner was incredibly helpful, even providing a cycling helmet! The maps and books were really useful and interesting. In the village both the pubs were good and the small supermarket at the garage and the butcher were excellent. There are lovely walks and cycling from the door.
