Lovely owner. Easy to get on with. Always helpful if needed anything. Property was amazing. Will definetly book again
Lovely location handy to the town of Kington with plenty of amenities. .....simple check in a lovely break.
We visited in November. Lovely comfortable well designed space with great views over countryside and garden. Good efficient heating system. Access through garden was dark with steps and may be a bit slippery. Some of equipment could do with updating, wine glasses, cracked mugs etc. A bit dusty.
Second time staying at this property after staying in the School Room some years ago. Lovely and comfortable place with all you need for a good stay. Easy access to the towns amenities and well placed for plenty of walking and tourism activities.

Garden View is ideally situated in the heart of Kington less than 5 minutes walk into the High Street and near to Offa's Dyke and Hergest Ridge footpaths. Accessed through a beautiful cottagestyle garden, the ground floor apartment has a light, airy well equipped kitchen, clean and modern shower room but has Victorian period features, such as high ceilings, sash windows and stone walls which add to the spacious feeling. The vista is what you will notice first, with panoramic views from the kitchen and living room windows overlooking Bradnor Green and Hill and overlooking the garden from the other living through the window seat. This is lovely nook, in which to read a book, or drink a coffee. Sarah, the host was welcoming and had left out pink lemonade, vintage cider and chocolate biscuits which were received gladly after a long drive. The double bed was comfortable, although I was sensitive to a constant humming noise which sounded like an immersion system, heat pump or similar, causing me to move elsewhere to sleep but was probably just me, as I never sleep properly on the first night in a different place! Plenty of information about nearby landmarks and tourist attractions was available in the living room drawers and the flat was warm and welcoming with a comfy sofa. Overall, this is an ideal hub for walkers or anyone visiting Kington and the surrounding areas.
Two spacious rooms, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Views of the hills to inspire the day's activities. All the facilities of Kington just minutes away.

We had a perfect week in Garden Cottage. Sarah was very welcoming and the cottage itself was the perfect hideaway for a relaxing break. Comfortable, clean and well equipped, it had everything we needed and although there was no parking on site the Square was a mere step away so not a problem. Thank you Sarah for making us welcome.
A very well equipped , clean and comfortable cottage.
The property was as described and our host was very pleasant and welcoming. On entering the property it was a lovely gesture to find a welcoming pack for us to enjoy. Everything was spotlessly clean and it was a joy to have a fully equiped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the whole setting peaceful with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
The flat was very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. We would happily return for another visit as we love the area
Frances
This is a great holiday apartment. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for self catering. Shops, pubsrestaurants are all within easy walking distance. Kington is a great little market town as a base for walkers and exploring the Marches.

A very enjoyable and peaceful week. The accommodation felt spacious large kitchen dining room as well as the living room bedroom. Spotlessly clean, very quiet. Pleasant views over the walled garden, heavy with the scent of lilies when I visited. Although on the ground floor, the access from the road has a number of steps up and down and up again to reach the entrance. No problem for the reasonably able, but it could be a challenge for someone less mobile. Very well situated for walks into the centre of Kington and up to Hergest Ridge.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped and appointed. Owner was polite, friendly and helpful. Hope to return in the near future.
Garden View is a lovely quiet place to stay and in an ideal location. It looks out over a pretty garden and across to the hills. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay is provided. It's close to shops and the bus station so is ideal for walkers and anyone using public transport. A regular bus service to Hereford, LLandrindod Wells and Knighton makes exploring these areas easy too. I was very pleased to find that I could use my Wales Bus Pass on all Seargant's buses even on journeys solely within England!

Sarah was an excellent host and I would be happy to go back again just the right size for one or two people 2 person flat There are steps so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues the kitchen was well equipped and a nice gesture of a small bottle of preseco and biscuits on arrival It was ideally located for me as I used public transport and also for using the local shops the flat is self catering and also for the Kington Walking Festival meeting point a good place alround

Sarah the host was very welcoming on a cold dark rainy evening. She showed us the flat and was very helpful. The flat is at the back of the property with steps to negotiate but is well lit. There is everything you need to make your stay comfortable and warm we had snow briefly Kington is a very small town steeped in history with friendly locals. Nearby are shops, pubs and places to eat out. Plus an 18 hole golf course. Parking is available free, close to the flat. Would be more than happy to stay here again.
Lovely place to stay, nice village close to Welsh border.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Christmas break, excellent facility. ....we will be back, Many thanks!

We really enjoyed our stay. Ideal apartment for 2 people, very quiet and comfortable. Thank you.
Fabulous stay. Very clean, well ordered and set up. Perfect for two people. Lovely location and hosts. We were very greatful for the wine, lemonade and buscuits.
Garden View is in a historical building with original features, overlooking a charming walled garden and views to the hills. There is very easy access to the town and many local walks, with a good bus service to Hereford and pretty villages. I only used the car once to visit Croft Castle! The cottage is well equipped, including a microwave, which I wasnt expecting. Sarah the owner was friendly and welcoming, providing wine, biscuits and some freshly boiled quail eggs from her garden birds! Unfortunately I only discovered that the scaffolding was still up when I rang to arrange key collection, due to an unavoidable window repair delay. I understand the owners did inform Sykes of this, but the website wasnt updated. However, this did not spoil a very enjoyable week in a beautiful area.
This was our second visit, and once again wish to thank Sarah for her warm welcome and for providing delicious biscuits and lemonade. The apartment was very comfortable and has a spectacular views. We will definitely visit again and would recommend it to friends and family.
My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Garden View, and the cottage met all our expectations. The hosts were charming and friendly, and we had everything we needed for cooking our own meals, including a lovely contribution of quail eggs from our hosts. We also enjoyed a very comfortable few night's sleep. Thank you.
The flat was ideally located for travelling around the beautiful surrounding area of the English and Welsh border. The flat was clean, comfortable with a lovely outlook to the hills and the garden below. Found no problem parking in the nearby town square over the week's stay.
We had a great time here, in a beautiful area and the cottage was very nice to come back to after a day out. Nice hosts. Would definitely stay again
Just the right accommodation for a couple who are looking for a walking week with no unnecessary frills. Some steps to negotiate through a delightful and well tended garden. Comfortable livingsleeping space, good kitchen. Super shower in bathroom. Modern interactive TV was a bonus.
A lovely apartment in a wonderful Victorian house. The entrance is amazing and the garden is very well kept. The hosts are very welcoming. There is so much to do in the area and it is set right at the side of Offas Dyke Way. Well worth a visit.
Very quiet and peaceful with good access to the town. Great views.
It would be mean to be over critical, and hope this does not appear to be so. However, although the place was spotless, well equipped and comfy, it did have a couple of drawbacks. Firstly it was offered as a single ground floor apartment, in many ways true, once inside the front door, it was flat and level, but access to the front door involved climbing up and down higgledy piggeldy stairs, not easy if you have mobility difficulties, secondly parking was very difficult, even in the village square. Not what we really expected and rather marred our stay. Had we known about the access problems we would have stayed away. A pity, it was very well presented and comfy.
Fantastic accommodation.
Michael
Sarah was a very helpful host. The location of the accommodation was perfect for our purpose. If the opportunity arises we will be more than happy to stay again
This was an excellent location with a beautiful view of the hills. The ownerlandlady was very helpful and had left some useful things ready for our use. I am very likely to stay there again..
Lovely location central to all the relevant destinations the property was excellent warm, cosy & everything I needed Sarah was a special lady in every way! I was welcomed with fresh eggs, wine & biscuits all consumed!! I would recommend to ALL
Excellent hostess, great hospitality, beautiful cottage garden, wonderful view of surrounding hills Interesting history and walk books provided. Picturesque town with historic Grade 2 listed buildings, plenty of places to eat, big supermarket, wonderful walks, neighbouring towns and villages to visit.
Robert
Our hosts were very considerate, generous and kind. The accommodation was very comfortable, well equipped, thoughtfully laid out, and provided us with everything we needed. Parking was also available close by. The views across the garden and to nearby countryside were delightful. Kington itself had a feeling of friendly relaxed unspoilt charm. The surrounding countryside was lovely as were the nearby attractions.
