Palace Bungalow Reviews

Ideal place for a quiet getaway. The bungalow was clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Wifi 100 reliable and a nice smart TV. The beds are very comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The views of the local countryside from the bungalow are amazing, starting with the fields containing beautiful horses. You are encouraged to wander around the farm. We were introduced to some of the horses and visited the three Kune Kune Pigs on many occasions. We had our dog with us. The garden surrounding the bungalow is fully enclosed. Our dog a small Shih tzu could not find a way out.
What a stunning place! A very comfortable, well equipped bungalow. We loved the real fire & the view of the farm & horses just on our doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the pigs each morning too. We'd highly recommend staying on Palace Farm, thank you xx
Palace Bungalow is a clean, warm and comfortable house set in the most beautiful spot. The views of Herefordshire from the bungalow are stunning and the peace and quiet so restorative. We spent New Years Eve week at Palace hoping to escape the firework madness and yes, it worked, which was such a relief for us and our dogs. The owners were on hand if needed but otherwise most definitely left us to do our thing . We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
Palace Bungalow was a lovely warm and well stocked holiday cottage. The garden surrounds the bungalow and is well fenced with a stock fence all the way around. we have two dogs and they loved it.the The views from every window look out across fields in all directions. we met Kay who just lives at the far end of drive to see if we could feed the pigs with our peelings, she said it would be fine and left us to it. a very peaceful spot if you want peace and quiet which we did. we will be going back. Peter
Lovley cosy bungalow in peaceful setting. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful scenery Owners on hand if needed.
A nice, warm & clean property with amazing views. Comfy beds, a good selection of towels provided along with dressing gowns & slippers for those colder mornings. It's really nice to go to a dog friendly property that truly is dog friendly, providing throws & blankets for the furniture so the dogs can feel like they're on holiday as well. Millie, our miniature dachshund, found the molehills that appeared on the lawn absolutely fascinating and loved the enthusiastic greeting from the resident trio of dogs whenever she was taken on a short walk to see the pigs.
Katherine
We just had such a wonderful time. The property was perfect for us as our dog needed to relax as we have a reactive rescue moved in next door at our home which is upsetting him. We all loved the property with beautiful views from every window. The property was immaculate and very comfy none of us wanted to leave. We never come back to the same place twice but I think we will make an exception for this perfect relaxing slice of paradise. Thank you to the owner for our perfect break.
Fabulous place in every way. Everything you need and more. Beautiful.
A comfortable , well equipped cottage. A great base for exploring the countryside and towns..
We had lovely week at place farm we were very comfortable lovely out look thank you
Ronald
So very peaceful and quiet, loved just sitting and watching the horses grazing, and hearing birds singing. I have to mention the beds we both agreed they were the most comfortable beds we have ever had when renting a property. We had a most enjoyable week, and can highly recommend this property.
Michelle
A very warm welcome with informative email from the owners. Lovely place to stay. Good area for sight seeing
Beautiful place with really attentive and friendly hosts. Private, clean and equipped with everything you could need. Small touches of bath robes and slippers were really lovely. Will be returning without hesitation. Thank you Kay!
Palace bungalow is a lovely place to stay. It has everything you need. Great views across the Wye valley and the paddocks on the farm which have retired horses in them.
Sheila
A lovely cottage with fabulous views. Very peaceful. Everything you could wish for. Would love to return. Huge thanks to the owners.
We had a very enjoyable stay at The Palace Bungalow. Kay & Brian were very helpful. It is in a nice location and very quiet and relaxing. The property was clean and tidy well fitted out with appliances. We would like to stay again in the future.
On our first stay we were asked if the surveyor could come around which he did then we were asked if the window cleaner could come round afterwards. Which we thought may have been bad timing. Right at the beginning of our second stay we were told the maintance man needed to come round to sort the broadband wifi. He came round then we we asked if he could come round again and again which ruined a whole day. Whilst waiting for them to sort out what already should have been sorted she sounded annoyed when speaking to the maintanence man which is taking the piss, these things should be sorted before we came in. It shouldnt take a day to sort out wifi. How many times would he be asked back if we didnt finally say no couldnt come past 630pm in the evening. He also didnt arrive at the time given. The owner is therefore either greatly incompetent or disrespectful and rude. Neither is acceptable if running a business like this. We ended up using a dvd as the wifi didnt work. Does she treat all guests like this? Weve got the message, we wont be coming back again. To be clear asking if someone can spend a whole day coming back and forth all day to sort a maintanence problem that should of already been fixed not arriving when told is complete disgrace.

Second visit love it here, so does the dogs, its so peaceful, with the most beautiful views and gorgeous horses to look at whats not to love. Kay is lovely too, goes above and beyond, cant do enough for you but ensures you have total privacy. Will definitely be back soon
We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. It was very quiet and calm, perfect for hours spent reading in front of the fire. The bungalow came with all the facilities we could need and had lovely views. It's an easy drive to HayonWye to do some secondhand book buying, and we had a lovely meal out at the Black Swan pub in Much Dewchurch. We really enjoyed this cosy winter getaway and will visit again.
Excellent stay, lovely views, would definitely recommend.
The cottage was excepitonally clean and everything that we needed was there. Sadly we lost our dog a week before our holiday but there were plenty of doggie blankets provided for pets to nuzzle into and to use of the furniture as throws if needed, as it is advertised as pet friendly. All the floor are tiled throughout. The beds were very comfortable and the whole atmosphere was super peaceful. The local area is beautiful and very scenic, even if the approach road has a few potholes.

Wow! Well how lucky are we to have discovered this hidden gem, have stayed In Herefordshire many times but never anywhere as idillic as Palace Bungalow, to wake up every morning with a view of the beautiful horses in their paddocks was just wonderful, and the pigs were true characters, although our dogs didnt think so! Cant tell you how much we enjoyed our stay, everything you need and wonderfully clean with comfortable beds. Owners are very helpful and kind, you really have a wonderful haven, thank you for our stay, we will be back, wouldnt stay anywhere else in Herefordshire now
We wanted a quiet weekend to unwind and the Palace Bungalow was perfect. Its a lovely lovely project, and being able to wander amongst the horses and feed the pigs on site was brilliant, with a paddock to let the dog off lead too. The location is a perfect base for visiting the beautiful Wye Valley, and Kay was incredibly helpful, especially after we left when we needed to get in touch will definitely book again!!

We found Palace Bungalow to be very well equipped, comfortable & cosy. The location was perfect, very peaceful and with lovely views. It was a great base for exploring the surrounding areas within the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean & Wales. Would definitely recommend and if we were visiting the area again would happily return.
Charlotte
This was a wonderful property full of both comfort and charm. It was in such a peaceful and relaxing environment and the horses and pigs nearby were a real treat! We had everything we needed and the little touches like cosy dressing gowns made it feel like a home away from home. Thank you so much!
Sandra
Palace Bungalow has everything you need for a great holiday, it is very clean and comfortable and has the most stunning views.
Great setting away from daily noise. Comfortable, clean one of the best cottages we have stayed in.
Caroline
Lovely place to stay, a little off the beaten track but incredibly peaceful and tranquil. The accommodation is well equipped and comfortable. The location is good for touring around Herefordshire and South Wales. The enclosed garden and available paddock was great for our two dogs. We would highly recommend.
A homely, comfortable bungalow with wonderful views from the front view over a rising field from the back with plenty of bird life. Bungalow has a sparrow that always seems to be chirping from the orner by the garage. Big fridgefreezer in the garage to use as overflow from kitchen fridge. The village shop and post office stocks practically everything, helpful and could not fault! If you like animals, horses in particular, Kay is the person to talk to. A great place to unwind.
Alison
Fabulous few days stay with two dogs. Exactly as described and could not fault it in anyway. A big bonus was to use the empty secure paddock to let the dogs have a good run. Wonderful views with many local walks and pubs. Highly recommended!
Howard
We had a perfect holiday in your beautiful bungalow. Perfect location. Lovely to walk around the farm to see the horses. Could not have wished for anything better and hope to return in the near future

We had such a lovely stay at the Palace Farm. It had everything we needed. The house was spotlessly clean and the attention to details was great. It is in a quiet remote and peaceful farm exactly as we wanted. Our host gave us a warm welcome message prior to our arrival. They made our stay very welcoming and were available if we needed anything.
Georgina
A lovely place to stay in a pretty part of the country. Very peaceful and close enough to visit some great locations. Very welcoming owners at the top of the hill and we got to meet the Kune Kune pigs who are just gorgeous .
Peaceful and comfortable week. Stunning views and absolutely no traffic noise! The beds were really comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed. I text Kay, the owner, a few times to ask a question and her responses were prompt and helpful and the duck eggs she dropped round for breakfast were delicious! Would love to return.
Steven
The property was clean and in a great location, the views were exquisite.
Sharon
A good week in this warm and comfortable bungalow. Extra touches such as robes and slippers included as were soaps shampoos and conditioners. Being a dog friendly property there were pet blankets available and space outside for exercising. The owner Kay forwarded information and a welcome to the property before we arrived which was appreciated. Would definitely stay at Palace Bungalow again.
Graham
Wonderful 4 nights spent at this lovely bungalow, everything was there that you needed plus some! Incredibly dog friendly with beautiful views across the paddocks and beyond. Very friendly owners and their kune kune pigs were delightful, recommend meeting both! This would be our first choice if holidaying in this area again.
A lovely property in a secluded position allowing you to fully relax. Watching the horses in their paddocks was great. The area is also great for night sky watching. The property had everything that you needed for a restful break. We would definitely recommend and will be looking to book again in the future.
