About The Book Town Cottage

The Book Town Cottage is a two-bedroom character cottage sitting right at the heart of Hay-on-Wye in Herefordshire. This is Wales' famous book town a market town packed with independent bookshops and literary events. The cottage sits just 300 metres from Hay Castle and 200 metres from open countryside on the fringes of Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons).

Hay-on-Wye is known worldwide for its annual literary festival and independent bookshops. You can walk to eateries, shops and book launches straight from the door. The River Wye is close by for canoe and kayak hire and Offa's Dyke Path is walkable from the town itself.

The cottage sleeps four across two first-floor bedrooms a king-size room with en-suite shower and WC and a double bedroom with sole use of the family bathroom. The ground floor features a beamed open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with underfloor heating, a flame-effect fire, Smart TV, dishwasher, wine fridge and coffee machine.

Abergavenny is 23 miles away. Brecon Beacons National Park trails are on the doorstep. Hay Castle is a 5-minute walk.
