Jessica
We had a wonderful break, a beautiful cottage with the most magnificent views and helpful owners! We so enjoyed the lovely hotelstyle bedding and fluffy towels, magnificent views and abundant and generous provision of essentials not always available in a cottage toilet paper, hand wash, bin bags, cleaning spray and the like spot the middleaged mum!. Hopefully we'll be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Woodlands Cottage. Everything you could want in a holiday cottage spacious, clean, warm and peaceful. We would recommend to anyone.
Excellent cottage with every think you need . Great location with plenty to do in the area
The spacious and characterful property is attached to Docklow Manor situated in a quiet and beautiful area. It is comfortable and fully equipped providing all that is needed for a restful stay. We can recommend it without reservation.
This was our second visit to Woodlands Cottage and it was as enjoyable as the first visit. Lovely touch of milk and a homemade cake on arrival and a lovely meal cooked by Jane the owner during the week. Lovely and secure garden. Charlie our dog loved it. Beautiful views of the country side. We were really lucky with the weather. Would visit again .
We spent a lovely week here. It is a comfortable and pretty cottage, set in peaceful and picturesque surroundings. We really appreciated the welcome note, milk in the fridge and cakes on the side...a lovely touch, thank you. There are lots of places to visit and walk, including the many hills that can be clearly seen in the distance. We explored some of the many suggestions but we wanted somewhere to step aside into peace, quiet and reflection and it was perfect. The beds are comfortable and the traditional shutters definitely enable 'sleeping in', which is a must surely, at some point on a holiday!

The property was in an ideal location for us to explore. Nice quiet location. We both liked the cottage. Unfortunately, and it has been said in other peoples reviews, the two settees were not overly comfortable and the double bed was somewhat soft. The property was let down by a lack of basic maintenance. The loo roll holders needed rawl plugging and rescrewing to the walls. The shower room toilet flush handle needed either replacing or a screw fixing. The windows were filthy so it was like looking out through a fog. A draining rack was needed for washing up. The cooker needed new knobs as the settings had rubbed off. The washerdryer was problematic. I found some instructions on using it, but despite setting it up, the dryer never seemed to work properly. A hand written guide for basic use would have been useful. A nice touch was the cake, milk and coffee provided along with other things like toilet rolls and cleansing materials if you hadn't had time to collect your own. Overall l would book again as it was a quiet cottage in a good location that just needed a bit of tlc

Our 2nd time at this cottage and again a great place to stay and explore the local area. Well equipped and comfortable just great for a relaxing holiday. The secure garden was perfect for our 2 dogs. I highly recommend this property.
Great cottage in the heart of Herefordshire. Nicely nestled off the main roads in the grounds of Ducklow Manor. We had a great peaceful stay. Cottage is in excellent condition with everything you expect to be provided. Rooms are all of a decent size and beds were comfy. Its great you can stroll around the Manor owners garden with the dog which was lovely even though the cottage has its own enclosed garden too. Easy access to Leominster, Hereford, Ludlow and beyond. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Adrian
This is an excellent place to stay, as well as one that is ideally situated with such ready access to so much. We ventured further than we normally would but found that any travel we undertook was really pleasant in itself to Cardingmill Valley and the Long Mynd to the north and Hay Bluff Offa's Dyke Olchon Valley Black Hill and Skirrid Fawr to the south. We did a lot of walking, all of which was really rewarding and satisfying, and Woodlands provided such a relaxed and comfortable place to come back. Excellent facilities with no need for any improvisation in the kitchen. Thank you.
A really lovely stay at this beautiful cottage. The garden is very pretty and really safe for our dogs. We would be happy to return . The host offered a 2 course meal service delivered to the cottage wishing we had known before we arrived
Home from home in a lovely location. Lovely garden surroundings and so peaceful. Very much enjoyed optional meals from the owners at an additional cost on our final evening. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We loved this bright, spacious cottage and especially the lovely, old private garden and the views. Everything we needed was provided loved the large fluffy towels and the owner was at hand if needed, but never intrusive. Hazel

Perfect location for the Kings Head which did delicious fantastic quality food & perfect for visiting my parents caravan in Hatfield. We will be back next year in June. Thankyou
Lovely cottage with everything you could need for a stay.
This was our second time at Woodlands Cottage. It is a very well equipped and comfortable cottage, perfect for our two dogs and in a very beautiful area. We particularly enjoy the peace and quiet.
This is a lovely place to stay in the countryside, just what we needed photos don't quite do it justice. Such peaceful surroundings and very spacious even for a family of 4 with a Labrador. The swing and treehouse were an added bonus anthem local pub too! We'd love to stay again!

My friend and I plus my 2 dogs spent Christmas at Woodlands cottage. I wouldnt normally stay in a cottage attached to the owners house but I want to thank Jane for being so welcoming , to the point where my friend felt comfortable enough to ask for some flour shed needed and I felt comfortable walking my dogs around the beautiful grounds. My friend is a chef and she was impressed with the kitchen quality. I found the bed very comfortable which is important. Very handy to have 2 sofas and 2 bathrooms. The weather was atrocious but we hunkered down. We did think the wood burner was real and were a little disappointed to find it was electric, but that was our mistake. The WiFi isnt great but my friend was able to make zoom calls so it was adequate. Spotlessly clean , a bit draughty and cold but it was December in the middle of a 3 day storm ! The garden was enclosed and safe for the dogs which was very important . An enjoyable stay .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Brian & Jane made us very welcome. It's a lovely cottage and quite likely we'll be coming back. It was ideal for us we were all very comfortable and the garden is secure for dogs.
Wonderful let in a wonderful setting. With a fabulous and friendly welcome from the owners. Will be returning!
Patricia
We had an idyllic week at woodland cottage. Such a hidden gem. Wonderful position, beautiful scenery, private and tranquil. High spec, everything you could need. Owners very helpful. If you want a get away from it all holiday this is the place. Herefordshire is a beautiful county and Docklow Manor is in a good position to explore it. Highly recommend.
We have just spent a relaxing and peaceful week in Woodlands cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Jane and Brian were very friendly and helpful. The cake and milk on arrival was a lovely touch. Jane cooked us a lovely meal midweek which is highly recommended. There is a lovely secure garden which the dogs enjoyed. The Kings Head pub serves lovely meals and is very friend!y and only minutes from the cottage. Already looking forward to going back.
A lovely cottage situated in beautiful surroundings with stunning scenery. We cooked every night and really appreciated the well stocked, large kitchen, nespresso machine with coffee pods, fresh milk, fresh coffee provided with percolator, yummy lemon cake baked by Jane, and enjoyed the local walks. A really relaxing stay in a tranquil part of the UK.
Beautiful cottage in very calming surroundings everything we couldve asked fora relaxing break. Thank you David Julie and Tilly
Woodlands is a quintessential English cottage with roses growing around the door. It is in a beautiful setting, that's quiet with lovely grounds. The garden is nicely secluded and adorned with roses and most smell divine. Inside, the cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with all you need for a restful stay. Jane, the owner, is welcoming and charming. My only criticism is with the WiFi. For ordinary surfing it is fine but the upload speeds are pitiful. Having said that, it wouldn't put me off returning another day.
Stephanie
Had a lovely holiday. Woodland Cottage is charming and has the most beautiful views of the country side. The enclosed garden is ideal for your four legged friends and a place you can relax in. Docklow is peaceful and ideally placed to visit all the surrounding areas. Hopefully we shall return. Thank you to Jane, Brian and lovely Shirley for making us welcome.
Adrian
Jane and Brian were very welcoming, and we felt right at home. We had one minor property issue on the Sunday which did not need immediate attention but a tradesman came that day and resolved the issue very quickly impressive for a Sunday the day prior to a Bank Holiday No complaints at all, and we would happily stay there again.
Phyllis
We enjoyed our stay at Woodlands Cottage lovely surroundings. Cottage had everything you would need. Lovely cake made by the owner when we arrived. We would defiantly return .
Victoria
We were greeted by the housekeeper and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has extremely comfortable beds. It was lovely and warm, and very well equipped. The garden was secure and relaxing. The views all around were stunning. I would definitely stay again and recommend to relatives visiting the area. An absolute gem! Many thanks to Jane and Shirley.
Victoria
We loved the cottage and had a very cosy time there. The owners were very nice and helpful, the kitchen was really well stocked. We really appreciated the Christmas decorations and the gorgeous treats left as gifts. The only minor inconvenience was that you need to walk through the second bedroom to get to the bathroom, which is tricky in the middle of the night! But all in all we were very happy there.
Sharrow
We had a great time at Woodlands Cottage. We were made to feel very welcome with our dog and encouraged to walk in the owners adjacent gardens and our daughter loved the huge trampoline. The cottage itself is warm and cosy and an ideal base from which to explore the area. The kitchen is huge and a great place to cook and congregate in. There are loads of leaflets outlining things to do in the area. The hosts were extremely friendly and always on hand for advice or queries. I cant recommend this place enough! Thanks for the apple cake delicious hope you enjoyed the scones!
Sophie
Thank you for having us! The cottage was lovely homely and co
The cottage is lovely and we had a very nice weeks holiday there. The owners were very concerned that we were warm enough, which we were as the heating system is perfectly adequate. Jane made us a lovely meal one evening for a very reasonable price, delivered to the door, shes a very good cook! Would definitely recommend this cottage, its so quiet and peaceful.
Cottage in a good location with lovely views and pretty garden
