Nash Lodge Reviews

Alison
A second great holiday at Nash Lodge, so good we booked to return for a third time! The weather was kind, just 1 wet day in late September early October which was a miracle. Lovely walks in the grounds, we also visited Hereford and walked out to the river and the Victoria Bridge. 25 minutes away was another NT property, Brockhampton, which has various walks and is quite extensive. We did the black and white villages drive and stopped in the larger ones for a walk around and some photos. Ludlow farm shop didn't disappoint again and in fact was so good we went twice! Do visit this property as a base for exploring as it is comfortable and well located.

Nash Lodge is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. There was everything we needed and more. There are five brilliant walks on the Castle estate for all abilities. There are lots of lovely places to visit without traveling too far. Pembridge is worth a visit, the church with its separate bell tower is packed with history. For a fine dining experience, I can highly recommend The Riverside at Aymestrey. The food is amazing, quite a lot of which they grow themselves. The staff are friendly and very attentive and the surroundings are cosy. Dogs are allowed in one side of the restaurant best to mention you are bringing a dog when booking a table. Itâ??s not cheap but for the standard and quality of the food and service it is worth every penny .

Nash Lodge is in a beautiful area next to Croft Castle. Very quiet and relaxing with numerous walks from the door. It was very clean , well provided with everything you could need and thoughtfully designed with the colours and soft furnishing used. Good to see that local products were in our welcome pack and cleaning products were environmental friendly. Very dog friendly with treats, dog bowl, towels and spare lead. A lot of thought has gone into this Lodge by the owners to make the guests feel at home. Thank you very much.
Lynn
A very comfortable and well appointed cottage. The location was perfect. Great for exploring the area and ideal for the dogs with direct access into Croft Castle's parkland. I was most impressed by the cleanliness on our arrival, it was spotless.
Josie
What a gem! Nash Lodge was perfect for our week away for two adults and a 2yr old. Peaceful, well equipped and beautifully furnished we couldn't have been happier. We will certainly be looking to return.
Liz
We've stayed in many dog friendly holiday homes, and Nash Lodge is by far the best. So comfortable, clean, attention paid to every detail, including dog bowls and biscuits! A fabulous place to stay, picturesque location and many beautiful walks. Yarpole village is a delight. Highly, highly recommended, and we will be returning!
Anthony
Best equipped kitchen we have seen. Comfortable, clean cottage in fantastic location
Alison
Outstanding! This cottage is head and shoulders above any we have ever been to. In fact, we are already planning a return visit. It was partly a scouting out the area with a view to moving holiday too and Herefordshire didn't disappoint. It has everything you could possibly need and Croft Castle's grounds are outstanding. Can't wait to come back. We went to the Elan Valley - spectacular, Hay on Wye, Ludlow, the Ludlow Farm shop, Leominster, Berrington hall and of course several of the walks at the Castle itself.
Janet
Lovely little cottage on the edge of the most beautiful parkland, lots of wonderful walks from the doorstep. Nicely furnished inside and all super clean. Definitely recommend.
Roy
An excellent property in a beautiful location close to Croft Castle. If we come back to Herefordshire would not hesitate to book.
Maria
Had a wonderful break. Definitely one of best cottages weâ??ve visited. Everything we needed and more is provided. You can see you are wanted as a guest. Highly recommended.
Daniel
Really lovely cottage, one of the best we have stayed at. It's in an excellent location which is very quiet and peaceful, yet easy to get to. You can walk straight out of the door into the grounds of Croft Castle. The owners have thought of absolutely everything you might need during your stay. There are lots of thoughtful touches from the everything-you-could-possibly-need-kitchen, to a place to store your wellies, clean your dog (if you have one), to books, games, a radio, and even a sewing kit in the cupboard. Nash Lodge is beautifully decorated with upcycled furniture and is spotlessly clean. There was a great welcome pack, spacious off road parking, and a small garden and patio outside to enjoy the good weather. Would highly recommend this 12/10 cottage.
Rose
Nash Lodge is a perfect spot to spend a few days. Amazing walks then back to cost by the fire. Our dog was as happy as we were. The cottage is beautiful done with everything you could want including treats for us and the dog which was a beautiful touch.
Lisa
Absolutely fantastic property looking forward to booking again soon.
Allison
Brilliant location and super cottage, lovely layout and very comfortable.
Vanessa
We have stayed in a number of dog friendly cottages in the last 4 years and this is by far one of the best for many reasons. A wonderful base for so many walks directly from the cottage, we didnâ??t have to get in the car once. The cottage itself is so cosy, super clean and provides absolutely everything you need. A short walk up the castle drive to the tea room for coffee and cake or into the local village to the community shop, cafe and pub, where everyone is very friendly. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you
Nick
