We recieved a very warm welcome and the accommodation was ideal for the relaxed holiday we wanted. Lovely place to stay to be able to visit the surrounding area.
Lovely cottage! Loads of space, very clean, fantastic area 1010
Good location, good size accommodation, great towels, comfy beds, patio area ... Good location, good size accommodation, great towels, comfy beds, patio area good but needs a little tlc, Problems with electrics but quickly resolved by owner lives on site

Was made very welcome to the cottage by the owner. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, including milk, tea, chocolate cookies and a nice white wine, thank you. We did enjoy our stay very much, the view from the patio is lovely, a real little sun trap. Only criticism, the seats on the red sofa in lounge could do with being reupholstered. Its not very comfortable as the seats are quite flattened. Easily remedied. Kitchen is very well equipped with lovely crockery & cutlery but only thing Id say it needs is more oven trays and some scissors. Beds comfortable and very clean. Wed love to go back in the future to explore more of beautiful Hereford.

The property was more spacious than we were expecting. Very quiet and peaceful.

We loved Wheelbarrow Cottage. It had everything we needed and felt really homely.

This is our second visit to Wheelbarrow Cottage. It is very comfortable and David and Nicola are at hand if we have any issues. The property is ideal for friends who want to holiday together but have separate facilities. The two ensuite bedrooms are ideal for such a holiday.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. The owners David and Nicola were very kind. If we needed any thing they would immediately try and help. I would definitely recommend this place nice and cosy, good views. We were there for about 4 weeks. Shops and supermarkets all nearby.
Thankyou David for the most Amazing stay, everything was perfect, even the weather. We would love to stay again, Thanks again Susan and Tom Collins

We were only there for a few days but the cottage was very comfortable and clean and the hosts welcoming and responsive. The kitchen had all we needed and there was plenty of hot water important for a family of five! We will return. Thanks
Unfortunately we were generally disappointed with the property although as a base for our cycling holiday the location was very good. One of the main reasons we selected this property was that secure bike storage was listed however, upon arrival we found this was not available and as such our cycles had to be left outside. We felt the overall appearance of the property was shabby with curtains hanging off their rails and black mould and stained walls clearly visible. The patio area was dirty and covered in birds droppings and weeds. The plastic chairs were dirty and covered in mould. One of the wooden benches was rotten and the barbecue had not been cleaned. No parasol or chair covers were available. I would strongly recommend someone from Sykes visits this property as I suspect it is some time since an inspection was undertaken.

We three adults and our dog had a wonderful time at Wheelbarrow Cottage. The owners, David and Nicola, were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. The cottage is in a lovely, quiet location, with easy access through glorious countryside to pretty villages, towns, the cities of Hereford and Worcester, and National Trust properties. The cottage is very well equipped, clean and comfortable, and there was no skimping on the central heating by the owners it was fully within our control at all times, which we appreciated on cooler evenings. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage as so much more than a base from which to explore the area it was a homefromhome.

It was a very comfortable cottage, excellent for exploring the beautiful area in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire.
Loved our stay there . Very cosy and relaxing.
Lovely stay in Wheelbarrow cottage, clean and comfortable. Lots of places to visit right on the doorstep. Eaton barn just up the road was handy for veg and fruit. Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Kings at Pembridge and also a quality Sunday lunch at the cider barn.
The property was very clean and homely with everything we needed for a pleasant holiday. The location was very quiet which we liked but not very far from several nice places to visit. David the owner was very welcoming but yet not intrusive, a good time was had by all including our dog who enjoyed some of the local walks. Very relaxing and highly recommended.
Wonderful setting. The property is lovely, the owner very friendly and courteous. All round excellent.

We had a lovely stay at Wheelbarrow cottage. It was clean, warm & comfortable. A warm welcome from the host who also helped to carry in luggage. The cottage is spacious with a kitchen dining area overlooking the patio with a view across hillsides. Visited three nearby National Trust sites. Look forward to staying again.

Great location Shared facilities with main house as we were a large party. Worked well

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Made very welcome by David, couldnt fault anything. Would love to come back again. 5 stars all round.

Excellent cottage. We had a fantastic week there, with two young children. The double bed was particularly comfortable. I hope we come back in a few years time to explore the area again.

Everything was fine apart from no internet connection I was offered a connection ... Everything was fine apart from no internet connection I was offered a connection at the house but that was not very convenient they need to fix this or say no wifi apart from this it's a nice place to stay
The only complaint is with Sykes description NOT the cottage. There is not a pub within walking distance, in fact nowhere near the cottage. The pub in the village of Stoke Prior unfortunately closed at least 3 years ago and is now a house.
The property generally needed some TLC. We arrived earlier than the stated checkin time but rang the phone number given on the paper work to see if it was possible to check in earlier. We left a message on the answering machine but no one got back to us and when we told David this he said 'we don't really use the land line very much' !! In our opinion this property should be graded as a 3 star
A very welcoming cottage, large rooms everything was there what you would need & more. the owner David was very nice and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything, he told us if there were any problems not to hesitate to call him. Would love to go back given the chance.
A lovely spacious cottage. Very comfortable. Will definitely book again. The pub in Stoke Prior no longer exists so needs to be removed from your information.

Lovely spot. Fabulous view over the country side. Although on the main road into the village you are well shielded by the wall and plants and the traffic is minimal we live on the outskirts of town so comparing it to that. The house is fairly well equipped. I dont think there was anything we missed in the kitchen. The garden is a real sun trap perfect for a barbecue and a lazy evening chatting over a glass of beer and secure for the dog. We really enjoyed our stay. Its a shame the pub in the village has shut down but in all fairness we didnt miss it.
This holiday is a regular get together for myself, my sister and our daughters although one daughter couldn't make it this year. Last year we booked a cottage through another agency and were not at all impressed. As you can imagine we were a little apprehensive about finding the cottage up to our standards. We were not disappointed. The location and standard of the accommodation were suitable for all our needs. It was easy to get to all the places we wanted to see and as we were out all day it was lovely to come back to a warm cottage. The owner was on site if we had any problems we didn't so all in all a great break.
Wheelbarrow Cottage was absolutely superb, we will definitely be returning.
Lovely property, spacious. Good location, found plenty to do. Beautiful area, owners close by. Just a couple of niggles, the double bed had a mattress with springs and squeaked every time you turned, sadly because of the hot weather we turned quite a lot. The wash hand basin in double room bathroom had an intermittent fault where it would let the water out of the sink. Having said that nothing spoiled our holiday, it was great and we would go again to this property.

I guess this would qualify as an average cottage compared to the ones we have gone to through Sykes in previous years. The cottage was very spacious, but arranged in a strange way downstairs. The facilities were good, but not great. Some small items of equipment weren't available tongues for the grill for instance but there were three can openers!!. The cottage was a little tired is the best way to describe it, but still very good as a base.
This was an impromptu break, so I didnt research the cottage in as much depth as I normally would. I just wanted somewhere that looked comfy, allowed my dog, and wasnt too much of a journey from home. It turned out to be all of those things and loads more. So much so that I would happily sell up and move there tomorrow..... The cottage is very clean, light, airy and spacious. The main bed is exceptionally comfortable didnt try the others, obviously, and the choice between full bathroom and full shower room was perfect for me. The southfacing patio, looking out over the fields and hills, is idyllic and we spent a lot of time there, watching the swallows and swifts toing and froing. We had the bonus of stunning weather too. And peaceful......so very peaceful..... The location is also perfect for country walks, and of course a good base for NT properties Berrington Hall, Croft Castle and Brockhampton Estate. The cottage is also well equipped, with most things provided that any normal person or family would want. There are a couple of things that the kitchen is short of but, as a selfcatering veteran, I am always prepared for this, as I am used to it..... In short, I and my furry friend loved it and had the most fabulous weekend ever. We will certainly be returning. As soon as we can save our pennies to do so in fact.......
Was told to ring owner to find out where key was, but apparently he was away so eventually your main office got the info for me, but this meant a lot of stress in the days before our holiday. The lighting in cottage was very poor, too dim to read in the evenings in sitting room or kitchen.
The cottage was great with everything you could need. The only thing that was a disappointment was that there should have been a shop and pub near by but unfortunately both have closed, therefore it should now be removed from the listing to save any future disappointment.

The Wheelbarrow Cottage is the perfect holiday cottage, tucked away in the beautiful peaceful Midlands. Near to Leominster making it a very convenient location if you are planning to selfcater or to visit the local pubs. The Host was always near and very helpful, the cottage is very well stocked even having a drip coffee pot if I had known I would have packed my favorite coffee grounds, and with the private patio just outside the dining area the perfect spot to enjoy that morning coffee. The Wheelbarrow Cottage is everything I would ever want in a holiday rental and more. If I am ever back in The Midlands area I will want to stay here again.
Jackie
Large well equipped cottage with beautiful views over country side. Good location.
Very enjoyable holiday in the ares. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Appreciated the welcome pack. Would definately stay here again.
