Our stay at the Writers Retreat was truly lovely. The scenery was stunning, especially the peaceful view over the Loch. We enjoyed exploring the nearby walks and felt really welcomed by Elizabeth and Mhirie. The quiet atmosphere made all the difference. We definitely plan to come back sometime soon. Ohand the Tea Room next door is a must-visit, for sure!

The location in Poolewe is perfectand the history of the area adds a lovely touch.

We arrived around 4 pm and were warmly greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our place. The location was breathtaking - right beside a river at the end of Loch Ewe. We even spotted an otter and a seal on our first night! Despite the rain most days, the locals said it's unusual for this time of year. We went out almost daily and caught some drier weather. The cottage was really cosyand the hot tub was a big highlight. Definitely recommend checking out Poole House, the Russian Convoy Museumand the WW2 sites nearby. Great boat rides too, really enjoyed our stay!

We loved the cosy, quirky kitchen that grew on us quickly. The cottage was super comfy overall. Our best moment was sitting outside, watching wildlife at Loch Ewe with a cuppa or a glass of wine. Saw plenty of birds and even an otter-such a treat! Definitely a lovely stay.

We had such a lovely stay! The place was super comfyand those little extras like the binoculars, blankets, flaskand food basket really made a difference. The view by the loch was stunningand being next to the Pool House was a bonus-definitely recommend the tour, or even the spooky one if you're into that. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Overall, a peaceful and beautiful getaway!

We needed a peaceful escapeand this place delivered big time. The boathouse is absolutely gorgeous and super well-equipped, making it ideal for a chilled stay. The shepherd's hut is perfect for relaxing and enjoying meals outdoors, with everything you'd need inside. Sitting in the hot tub at night was a real highlight, especially spotting seals and otters feeding just beyond the garden. The location is top-notchand the hosts are genuinely lovely. We're already planning to return-can't wait to come back!

It was super cosy and welcoming, perfect for relaxing. The shepherd's hut was a real highlight, with a fully equipped kitchenand we loved eating there. Bonus points for spotting otters and seals right outside! Poolewe is a lovely spotand the location made exploring easy. We'd definitely come back!
